Bochum, April 26th. 2019 – TRAFINEO expands the route network for the European Electronic Toll Service (EETS) with the German Tolling System. The extension covers the entire toll road network of the Federal Republic of Germany.
TRAFINEO EETS Service: Nine toll systems for eight countries via one On-Board Unit
Business partners of TRAFINEO are now able to offer their end customers the handling of the German truck toll as part of the European Electronic Toll Service EETS. The German toll is therefore implemented in addition to the already available toll systems Austria, France, Belgium (including Liefkenshoektunnel), Italy, Poland (SAM A4: Kraków-Katowice), Portugal and Spain. The activation of the new service takes place user-friendly via “over-the-air” update.
The scope of the country will continue to be expanded in the future, until a Europe-wide acceptance is achieved. In addition to the classic toll collection, the TRAFINEO EETS Box offers intelligent telematics services such as Track & Trace.
TRAFINEO’s EETS service in collaboration with the Italian toll expert Telepass S.p.A. enables transnational toll collection with only one vehicle unit, one contract and one invoice for the end customers of our business partners. The range of services is modular. It ranges from the basic package to the complete service. Fleet operators can put together the services according to their individual requirements.
